Overview
The AMS Replaceable Tip Regular Soil Probe comes with an AMS regular coring soil probe tip and can accommodate other AMS soil probe tips. They are made of a heavy 4130 alloy steel, chrome plated, and fitted with a removable, heat treated tip for durability and ease of replacement.

Like all AMS soil probes, the probe includes a 10" comfortably-gripped cross handle and is compatible with AMS 5/8" Threaded Slide Hammers and extensions for deeper sampling in tough areas

Microbes living in the soil release 10 times more carbon into the atmosphere than humans worldwide. New research from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies reveals that healthy and diverse soil communities can mitigate the feedback effect that occurs between climate change and soil respiration. A paper detailing the findings was published online in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The City of Hazelwood is a suburb in St. Louis County, Missouri, home to around 25,500 people.
